Macau - Hong Kong April 13 2011

Woke up early and head outside to enjoy the fresh air and the morning scenery in Macau. Quite cold and the air don't seem to be polluted, though it's almost 9am and middle of the town.

the apartments around the city

guess this person should be someone important in Macau

the square in front of our hotel. uncles and aunties finished their tai chi or sword practicing session

After shower and packing our belongings, we check out and head towards Senato Square for our brunch.

After brunch, it's time for us to head towards ferry station to cross over to HK. Overall, Macau is a nice city full with casinos, good food. I think spending one day here is good enough, considering three of us are not gamblers.

After lunch and check into our 'hotel' for the next three nights, we venture out to purchase our entrance fee to Lantau Island, then to Lady/Women street, which I notice quite similar to our very own Petaling Street.
cute waffle cake aka expensive junk food - hahaha

Wee Ee trying out this delicious junk food

From Women street, we proceed to our next food destination to try out the infamous polo bun near the Golden Fish Market

the coffee house interior, packed with people waiting for polo bun

the famous polo bun, nothing special, but definitely taste better than Old Town ones

some turtle lookalike

surprisingly, we didn't see many gold fish, just many other types of fish and pets

there's a flower market beside the golden fish market and plenty of beautiful orchids

next destination, Arena of Stars. It's quite a journey to reach there and along the way, we passed by many malls. this advert attracted my attention, look classy and classical

beautiful buildings along our way to arena of stars

beautiful evening sceneries in HK

not a big fan of stars' hand prints, but kinda like this guy..hehe

The Bruce Lee bronze statue, a new addition to this arena and a photo attraction to the crowd

on our way to lrt station. there are many tunnel such as this all over HK which connects to either lrt stations or exit to malls or any places, depending on where you want to go and therefore avoiding all the roads with heavy traffics

we have our dinner at Tsui Wah again. we ordered this New Zealand air flown Kai Lan with oyster sauce so we can have some fibre instead of just meat, rice and noodle
